Cardinals Defeat Panthers

Dunne expects extra challenge of “underlights” in Deise clash

first_imgIt’ll be difficult to play Waterford under lights this evening – according to Tipp goalkeeping coach Ken Dunne.The Premier face the Deise in Semple Stadium at 7 o’clock in their second outing of the league.Both teams failed to notch up any points last weekend – with Tipp losing out to Clare, and Waterford going down at the lands of Wexford. While the lights will give an added dimension to the game, Toomevara native Dunne says they’ll just get on with it…Throw in is at 7pm, and there will be full live coverage here on Tipp FM in association with Sullivan Family Butchers Brooklands, Nenagh. Cowley County man injured south of Mulvane in Sumner County Saturday evening

first_imgBy Shane Farley, Newscow.net — A Cowley County teen was critically injured Saturday evening in a wreck on K-15 highway just south of Mulvane in Sumner County.Friends identified the man as Robert Douglas, 19, who lived in the Udall area and worked in Winfield. Douglas remained in critical condition late Sunday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, according to a hospital spokesperson.The accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of K-15 and Greenwich Rd. not far from the Cowley/Sumner County line.Douglas’s red Honda Civic left the roadway, entered the east ditch and struck a tree.KAKE News reports that Douglas had attempted to pass another vehicle on the right shoulder, lost control and crashed. He was reportedly outside the vehicle when emergency crews arrived.Sumner County investigators said additional information would be available Monday morning. Close Forgot password? While I hope this young man fully recovers he is completely at fault and is paying the consequences. It could have very easily involved many others in the other lane instead of just his car.
